Compulsive hoarding use to be classified under Obsessive Compulsive Disorder but there are questions about the lack of anxiety related symptoms or co-symptoms in some people.
It was decided to break out compulsive hoarding into a specific classification. That said; there are a lot good information at OCD related websites.
