There is a lot of marketing hype about the blankets. There are
dozens of stories, but is there anything to support the popularity
of the blankets?
And, should you get one?

Mayo Clinic News Network story about the use of the

Harvard Women's Health Watch has
some cautions about using the weighted blankets if you have sleep
apnea, respiratory problems or chronic medical condition.
Sleep Junkie also has a page on how to wash blankets. They do not recommend
washing weighted blankets. You might also want to check out their
